Europe Factors-Shares seen down ahead of ECB's decision

PARIS, Sept 3 (Reuters) - European equities were seen falling for a fourthstraight session on Thursday, tracking a dip on Wall Street where a poor labourmarket report rattled investors ahead of Friday's key jobs figures.

By 0624 GMT, futures for the DJ Euro Stoxx STXEc1, for Germany's DAXFDXc1 and for France's CAC FCEc1 were down between 0.05 percent and 0.2percent. Earlier, financial spreadbetters had expected Britain's FTSE 100.FTSE to open 12 to 18 points lower, or down as much as 0.4 percent.

Investors were also cautious ahead of the European Central Bank's decisionon interest rates and comments on the outlook for the economy.

The ECB is expected to keep interest rates at 1.0 percent, and PresidentJean-Claude Trichet is likely to preach caution on the growing hype of a speedyeuro zone economic rebound from recession. [ID:nL2620882]

U.S. stocks retreated on Wednesday after a labour market report showed moreprivate sector job losses in August than forecast. That rattled investors aheadof Friday's key monthly jobs data from the U.S. Labour Department.

The FTSEurofirst 300 .FTEU3 index of top European shares fell 0.4 percenton Wednesday, with financial stocks suffering the most, as investors tookprofits after a strong run in recent months. Europe's benchmark index, which hassurged 47 percent from the record low it hit in March, is up 14 percentyear-to-date.
